Bernice L. (Hartfield) Ball went home to her heavenly Father on October 23, 2018 at the spry age of 101. Bernice was born on January 23, 1917 in Guadalupe County, Texas, the daughter of Frazier Hartfield and Lena Mae (Fitzgerald) Hartfield, whom have preceded her in death along with her husband, Sam Ball, Sr.; daughter, Lena Marie (Ball) Carter; son, Sam Ball, Jr.; and great-grandson, J’Coery Anthony Ball. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Vonciel Eugenia Burton (Darrell), Beverly Elaine Welch, Mildred Louise Williams, Sarah Yvonne Brooks (Wayne), Michael Carter (Meme), Derick Wayne Ball (Ellen), Yolanda Rochelle Crooms (Darryl), Tracy Lanere (Jackson), Corry Carter (Ramona), Kevin Carter, and Joyce Bernice Ball; 29 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018, 4:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.
