Hedwig Jendry, 103, formerly of Yorktown, passed away in Boerne, October 9, 2018. She was born September 30, 1915 in Westhoff to the late Emanuel and Mary (Ibrom) Respondek. Hedwig was involved in the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown and was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Catholic Daughters.

Hedwig was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Jendry; brothers, Philip, John, Paul, Frank, and William Respondek; sisters, Annie Wollny, Bertha Respondek, Elizabeth Dylla and Mary Rawe.

She is survived by her son, James Jendry (Carolyn); grandsons, Steven Jendry (Racquel), and Dennis Jendry (Susan); great-grandsons, twins, Michael and Matthew Jendry and Kyle French.

Visitation will be 5-7pm with a Rosary at 7pm followed by the Catholic Daughters having a Wake Service, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 2pm, Friday, October 12, 2018, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Roger Hawes officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Hedwig’s name by way of mass intentions to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
