On August 2, 2018 Elmer John Markle, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas passed on to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 75. He was born on June 25, 1943 in Orlando, Florida to Elmer John Markle, Sr. and Elsie Eve (Mitchem) Markle. He was a beloved husband to JoAnn Brinegar for 48 years; a father to 3 daughters: Krista, Michelle, and Amber Markle; a father-in-law to Randy Hugg; an eldest brother to brothers, Gordon and David Markle, and sisters, Penny Raught and Nancy Denning and their spouses; a fun loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren, Ashton Hugg, Ryan Hugg, Noah Hugg, Mia Hugg, Aidan Hugg, Sabrina Cervantes, and Austin Cervantes; and 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Martinez, Jr, Harley Martinez, and Jordyn Martinez; and to numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Elmer was a member of American Legion Post 38 of Floresville, Texas, a US Navy veteran, a Boy Scout leader, and most of all a dedicated member of the LDS church where he served as a missionary in Guatemala. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018,10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 311 Galway, San Antonio, Texas 78223.
