Sharon Kay Kopecki, of Nixon, went home to be with God in the early hours of the morning on February 23rd. She was born April 10, 1949 in Nixon, Texas, and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernice Moczygemba along with her brother, “Jimmy” Moczygemba. Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Kopecki Jr. and two sons Joseph Kopecki III of San Antonio and Patrick Kopecki of New Braunfels. She had two beautiful grandchildren, Sarah and Shelby Kopecki of New Braunfels.

A loving mother and homemaker, Sharon Kay would do anything for her children. As her children grew older, her love overflowed, and she became a caregiver for several elderly within the community. Even as her health failed, she always offered her love in the form of advice and gifts. The family gives those that have helped care for her over the last several years their greatest and warmest gratitude.

Visitation will begin Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 9:00 AM, at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a Memorial Rosary recited at 10:00 AM. Father Ouseph Kuriakose will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
